The Common Room offers residents an inviting and relaxing area in which to gather and socialise with friends and family.
The Common Room has ample tables and comfortable chairs, and features a Nicoletti Italian leather lounge, lounge chairs and coffee table.
The Residents’ lounge features 2 large LCD Sony high definition television sets. The televisions are connected to DVD and a surround-sound music system, as well as Foxtel.
The television in the Common Room has a Foxtel Digital service with IQ (with access to more than 20 channels). Residents can also subscribe to Foxtel for a pay TV service to their own accommodation apartments.
The televisions are connected to various gaming consoles including Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii to allow residents to play computer games on the large screen TVs.
A selection of board games including Scrabble, Monopoly, Yahtzee and Trivial Pursuit. Playing cards to suit Poker, Uno and Canasta are available for use by the residents in the Common Room.
The residents can choose various books, publications, DVD’s and music CD’s from the library in the Common Room. Find your local newspapers such as Bayside Star, Northside Chronicle, Brisbane Seniors and The Senior in Reception. There is DVD library of the latest movies as well as many favourite classics movies to choose from.
Residents have access to computers in the Common Room, with fast broadband Internet access.
Tea & Coffee Facilities
Residents can enjoy tea, coffee and other hot or cold beverages in the Common Room. The Common Room is equipped with a Saeco Automatic Italian Vending Machine dispensing a variety of hot beverages.
The Community Centre has a large, stylish bar with bar stool seating and a beer and spirits fridge and a specialised wine fridge, as well as all equipment for spirits and cocktail making. The bar features a Skope™ cold drink fridge for soft drinks, fruit drinks, mineral water and non-alcoholic drinks as well as a selection of boutique Australian and international beers to inspire the taste buds. There is also a Liebherr™ Triple Zone Wine fridge that is stocked with a selection of white and red wines and champagne that are enjoyed at regular Meet & Greet events.
A gazebo with a built-in gas barbecue and picnic tables and seating set in landscaped surroundings is located between Buildings B2 and C3 and is available for residents use to enjoy with other residents or their own family and friends.
There is a hobby garden which is used by residents to grow vegetables, herbs and other plants.
“Meet & Greet” Events
Special events are held throughout the year where residents gather and socialise. This is when new residents are welcomed to the retirement village allowing them to meet other residents.
There is a weekly “Morning Tea/Residents’ Show & Tell” in the Common Room for residents and their friends or family to get together and enjoy a drink of coffee or tea with a selection of biscuits, cakes or other desserts. Morning teas are a great way to catch up for a chat, find out what events are on, celebrate birthdays and other special occasions.
A variety of fitness classes are held in the pool, gym or on site by visiting fitness professionals and include:
- Walking groups
- Weight and strength training
- Aerobic exercise classes
- Aqua-aerobics classes
A scheduled transport service with the use of a courtesy bus is available for residents. This service is well received by residents who do not own a vehicle or no longer drive. The courtesy bus is a Mercedes-Benz 12 Seater Sprinter allowing residents to travel safely and in style. The courtesy bus leaves from the retirement village and carries the residents to many of the local amenities such as shopping centres, medical centres, hospitals, clubs and other entertainment venues. The courtesy bus is also used for special outings by the residents.
Our 12m x 4m indoor pool is located in a private and secure building. The pool is solar heated for comfort so our residents can enjoy a relaxing swim at their convenience. The pool is available for use by residents and their family and friends. Activities such as aqua aerobics classes are held in the pool from time to time.
Located in the pool area is our heated spa for the enjoyment and relaxation of residents.

Residents can access our onsite gymnasium with their own VingCard security card. The gym is air-conditioned and is fitted out with Technogym™ equipment, TV screens, shower and toilet facilities. The gym has everything our residents need to keep fit and maintain their strength and health. Our residents also engage in group exercise classes.
Reception And On-Site Office
There is a reception and office facility in Building F6 which allows for on-site management of the retirement village.
There is a reputable security patrol service retained to provide nightly security patrols of the retirement village.
The outdoor areas of the retirement village are well lit at night with lighting bollards placed along the pathways and footpaths.
